It's 5 'O Clock Somewhere

Friday, June 1, 2012 | 6:00 pm | Conference Center at the Government Building in Lebanon, VA
Proceeds from the celebration will be used to purchase a new digital mammography machine, and your help is needed to achieve that goal.
According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer has a 98% survival rate if detected early. The Virginia Health Department indicates that our district has one of the lowest screening mammography rates in the state, and therefore we have one of the lowest early detection rates in Virginia. Having a digital mammography machine at RCMC means that patients may be more likely to get screened. The benefits for patients include shorter exams, faster results, fewer call backs and less anxiety. With digital mammography, images appear in seconds on a computer screen, revealing an exciting new world of diagnostic possibilities. Digital mammography is our patients' strongest ally in the fight against breast cancer.

Thanks,
The Russell County Medical Center Foundation Board
