An increase in space and the number of patient beds at the new Niswonger Children's Hospital has led to a need for additional pieces of equipment in the hospital's ongoing effort to provide exceptional Patient-Centered Care to our pediatric patients.
Why are we asking for your help with these needs?
Pediatric health care requires more resources than care provided to adults. These extra costs are compounded by the fact that the state and national healthcare programs that provide coverage for the majority of children treated at the children's hospital do not cover the cost of the basic healthcare services provided at the hospital.
Your assistance will allow the children of Southern Appalachia access to the quality health care they need and provide them with the best possible chance to grow into healthy adults.
Niswonger Children's Hospital serves a population of more than 200,000 children in a 29-county service area that includes portions of Tennessee,Virginia, North Carolina and Kentucky. This hospital was designed to provide for the unique needs of children and combines compassionate, personalized care with state-of-the-art technology.
