Pet therapy is an organized program that brings specially trained dogs into healthcare facilities to visit with hospitalized patients.
The program exists to aid in creating "an environment of comfort, peace and support" for our patients. It consists of certified pet therapy dogs and their owners, also called "handlers." We have both purebred and mixed breed dogs that have all passed the testing and evaluation required for certification.
Pet therapy dogs help bring loving care to health care.
